jackso11
On a standard TT, is this a needed piece of kit? Just wondered how much damage is done without. New to the world of TT and my car is totally standard, had new turbos 8k ago and want to keep them in the condition they are in now.
Axle
On a standard TT, is this a needed piece of kit? No. Just cruise back off boost for the final minute of your journey and it's fine. Turbo timers are a waste of money.
SimonT
Just make sure if you do give it some beans always let them spin down for a minute or maybe 2 depending how hard you've been driving;)
jackso11
So basically they are a waste of money, I mean who boots it the last minute of a journey anyway! Unless you have a mile long driveway!
bodilx6
- or driving hard down the Autobahn... According to the Supra manual, you don't need to let it idle if you have been doing normal city driving. If you have been driving 40mph "countryside" driving, let it idle for a minute. If you have been driving motorway speeds, let it idle for 2 minutes.
Snooze
If it was a "needed" piece of kit, Toyota would have put them on as standard.

Or they would have put the first quote in the owners' manual
