For sale is my MKII Rev2 MR2 GT T-Bar in black.

I've had this car about 18 months and enjoyed every minute of it! The reason for sale is that I craved more power, so purchased an MR2 Turbo! :D

My Jap import GT T-Bar was washed and waxed weekly, and usually washed mid week too! I've always serviced it myself, changing the oil and filter, cleaning the air filter, checking the plugs, brakes, fluids, etc and changing as nessesary to make sure she's running sweet. The engine is solid, starts first time everytime and runs perfectly!

We are now finally getting the weather to take out the T-Bar panels and enjoy the sun! And I can tell you, nothing beats driving with the roof off! It's AMAZING! (Something I will miss!)

Spec:

Engine:

HKS air filter

De-cat

Blue Flame twin exit exhaust system

Interior:

Updated with Rev3 seats and door cards with no rips or tears

T-Bar interior panels

MR2 mats

Sony CD player

Momo steering wheel

Exterior:

Stock body

Electric folding mirrors

Suspension, Wheels and Tyres:

Enkei wheels with excellent tyres (16x8 on the rear, 15x7 on the front)

And a spare 15" Enkei in the frunk

As I raided my savings to buy my GT-S, and the T-Bar was put away safe in my garage after I transfered the insurance, the MOT and Tax on it has consiquentially run out. I should have pulled my finger out and got it sold sooner, but with family issues and other worries, it had been put to the back of my mind.

This gives two options regarding price:

Option 1: I can tax the car and MOT it (I am confident it will pass no problem) and let it go for £1200

OR

Option 2: The car as-is for £1000

Offers concidered, so please get in touch and we can sort something out :)

Sorry for the half missing ad, was late when I got time to put it up!

It's a 3S-GE, so it's an n/a, it's a 5 speed manual, with a good solid box, and the clutch is in great shape too. Milage is 81k, and is SO JDM, it's still in KMH! (130700km) :D I could never be bothered to change it.

There, unfortunately, isn't any service history with the car, but I have a lot of paperwork, including some Japanese papers too, which is always nice to have.

The car still has the circular import sticker in the back window too, if you like your JDM bits :D

Also includes a spare key, and Toad alarm system :)

I had a new windscreen after a stone cracked the old one. Which was a good thing, as the old one was blue, and I requested the new one be amber to match the rest fo the windows :D

Med - can you empty your inbox mate, I can't reply to your PM :p

Is it actually a GT or a G-Limited?

I THINK it may be a G-Limited, as those were the imports. But it doesn't say anywhere in any of the paper work exactly what it is, and GT -T-Bar sounded right.

Do you know what the difference is?

I'm a bit out of touch and have forgotten a lot but AFAIK GT and GTS cars were turbos and all the import NA models were either G-Limited or base "G" models but there weren't very many of those because they were a bit poop.

The GT was only an NA in the UK and usually badged as a GTi but came as "GT Coupe" or "GT T-Bar".

Minor detail and a nice car, would love to get another like this as a daily driver but have too many cars at the moment.

That sounds right actually, the GT T-Bar being the UK spec. Not a lot of difference between them TBH. Mine has a nicer interior and less rust

Yours will have the folding mirrors and air-con too, it was £1000+ for air con on the UK cars I think, not many went for it, especially with the T-Bar option, I had mine on constantly, even with the roof off :)

Yeh, it has folding mirrors, but the air con was removed as it packed up a while ago. Apparently you can't re-gas them, so the previous owner decided to take it out. Can't see the point when the roof is off anyway! :D
