Kev_A
Has anyone had the TEIN's long enough to experience the corrosion problems I keep hearing about?

vvteye
Has anyone had the TEIN's long enough to experience the corrosion problems I keep hearing about? I was once warned that you should never by the dark green teins as opposed to the lighter green teins as they had a corrosion issue. Not sure if these were direct copies as I wouldn't hagve thought Tein would licence the manufacture using sub standard materials. 3 year old tein flex on mine with edfc and I've nothing but praise for them. pete_TT
I have HSD's and impressed with them at the mo. Also very reasonable price.
Hassan
Ive been reading good reviews about the BC racing and HSD?? But will they last long since they that cheap in price???
pistonbroke
Another + for HSD's. Not sure how long they've been on my car, but they're certainly used. However, there is no corrosion issue, just a layer of road crud to clean off Ride quality is amazing.
Hassan
I think i might just go for BC or HSD end of the day you better loosing out £600 then buying sum £1500 coilovers and then they turn out to be crap.from all the reviews BC and HSD seem to be very good so far
SupraGirlie
Look out for offers on HSD coilovers on Drift works, I recently purchased my HSD coilovers from a group buy with them, saved quite alot.

steve spedd
just to bump this. im looking at getting some coilovers. so far it looks like HSD or BC, do people not rate the D2's?
pistonbroke
the quality of the bc are very good, forget about the price. Always heard good things about the BC's from the subaru lot I used to roll with (that moment of madness has now passed )

tDR
Love the HSD's - very nice quality with great ride quality, not stupidly stiff for road driving like most are. Plus I hear there's a half decent write up on how to fit them on here somewhere.... Cheers, Brian.

tDR
Do you keep them on for the drag strip Brian? If so how do ou rate them for that? Haven't tried them on the strip but don't see a problem given they arent really stiff - they still have compliance and the car can still squat on the launch. I know JamieP managed a 1.6 sec 60ft time at the strip on Coilovers known to be stiffer than the HSD's. For a road car, running the right tyres is more important at the strip IMO, you want compliance with a higher profile sidewall and a sticky compound for traction.
