AMG
Right, my soop has been a bit rough lately so i thought i would check my error codes. I had a blitz access ECU and have just bought a standard one too. Problem is that i can not get the error codes. All i can do so far by connecting E1 and TE1 (as per vvti) is get codes from the slip control light. I have a 93 jap tt by the way. 31 (TPS fault as i simulated this one) 32 63 64 these codes are exactly the same for the blitz or standard ECU, making me think they are codes for something else. When i connect E1 and TE1, as i should, i do not get any flashing lights. I have checked the bulb to the engine check light and it is fine. All this is pretty annoying as i still have no idea why the soop is running rough Has anyone got any ideas?
kaahari
When you say: "i do not get any flashing lights" ...check engine light should blink steadily when no codes recorded and you have connected those pins in datalink connector, with ignition on. Do your check engine light work when you turn ignition on? Edited August 22, 2009 by kaahari (see edit history)

Oh crap dude, all this time I thought you were reading the codes from the engine light. That's why your getting odd error codes. Sort the dry solder joint and do it again. AMG
Finally, some progress, all be it small. I fixed the dry solder I put the Blitz ECU back in and made sure there were no errers saved. Took it out for ten mins and no errers have reared thier ugly heads yet. Time will tell i suppose. Thanks all for the help so far
