paul mac
anyone watch the cricket today, what a come back, Stuart Broad has been due a big performance and boy did he deliver, shame we lost a few early wickets but we definately have the upper hand (for now )
MaveriK
Dont forget Swan, he played a part. Fingers crossed for 200+ tomorrow and then bowl them out. Would be a lush victory!

duncz
Hugely enjoyable day watching England bowl. Not surprised Johnson got Bell out before day end though, he looked literally shit-scared of him before lunch on the first day with constant chest height balls and a total inability to deal with them! Strauss is still in and Trott is eager to prove his worth, plus Prior, Broad and Flintoff still to come.. if we can hold off the initial onslaught for a while tomorrow morning we'll be just fine. duncz
Over 450 ahead at teatime day 2! What a result! I really hope Trott gets his 100, nobody deserves it more. Swann seems to be enjoying himself too.. o yes great day but england will need 350 i feel 350 ahead would've been difficult for the Aussies, the strip is destroyed and Swann is a more competent spinner than anything the Aussies can offer.. but 450 and rising? They're going to need a *massive* innings to retain the Ashes now.
imi
amazing how overnight the boys have forgotten how to bowl......whats with all this short wide four balls they keep on bowling.... if they carry on bowling this trash then it would be wise NOT to write the aussies off..... duncz
Why Harmison even started I have no idea. He's just gash. Occasional good ball but so many sloppy deliveries. If they let Katich and Watson dig in, with the strength that Australia have at #3, #4 and #5, they'll happily make the *mere* ~470 they need to win. Need an early wicket tomorrow. Swann needs to deliver for sure.
imi
102/2 now.....finally broad and swann in the bowling attack If they bowl tight then the aussies are going to crack under pressure and a deteriorating wicket.

Ponting is the decisive wicket imo. If he'd been allowed to get 100 we would've been under huge pressure - well bloody played Freddie! Just a case of "cleaning up" now, I hope. Swann is bowling superbly but not getting much luck.. as Warne said in his commentary, his rewards will come for sure.

ellis
265 for 5 - 5 wickets needed!!!
imi
If they keep a strangle on the runs and build the pressure - wickets will no doubt follow. Weve done very well to get rid of Ponting and the dangerous Clarke.......The key is hussey....he is another match winner.......
paul mac
listening to the radio and they described Flintoffs throw at the wickets to get Ponting out as an "Exocet" , c'mon, only thing that worries me is if we dont get them all out today will the weather hold up for tommorow
imi
Dont think we want hussey to have a good night rest and have a fresh start tomorrow....we desperately need to get him out
