Smallshinyant
just you.. sorry fella, if i read that properly thats really bad news for a fresh software to be infected. You sure its not your AV calling a false positive?
MrRalphMan
What's the software Dave? Virus:Win32/Induc.A is a virus that infects Delphi library source files. Any executables compiled/linked by the Delphi compiler on the affected machine will contain the malicious code. Sounds like someone's development area is a little loose... SUPRALOOPY
Spyware cease and registry easy. Purchased from their website. I read that the AV updates are calling false positives on this "virus" but now my pc will not let any of the programs run. Also Its now picking up stuff that has made a recycler folder with loads of letters and numbers after it, every time I delete it the AV pics up another one, System restore won't restore properly and all this from trying to keep the pc quick and safe. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Scott
Edit: Linux user. Thread not applicable. Thats only because virus writer's only want to upset the masses. Same with Mac, its not because the software is THAT good, its because noone can be bothered to try and mess with it as the population of users is so small in comparison. Oh, and of course the hatred towards microsoft and bill gates

Scott
Na, if any linux OS was as user friendly as windows i would use it. You are making constant adjustments with linux which is a pain so i can't be bothered with it. I guess i'm just lazy and like the easy life lol. I never make any adjustments (except cosmetic or additional software) to my system from one release to the next.

JS2004
http://www.scmagazineuk.com/Anti-virus-vendors-warn-over-Win32Induc-virus-that-attacks-the-Windows-based-development-environment-Delphi/article/146957/ Its saying that although your right and it is a virus that getsin via the development stage, its not delivering any payload - the fact that it is on your computer though is anoying as I know if theres anything on my pc, and i dont know what it is or where it came from.. it bugs the hell out of me. If its causing your pc to not work properly it looks like the anti virus software is almost "causing" it by identifying and trying to quarantine the exe file. quote: "For the average user the virus is essentially harmless. The problem is that some software development companies use Delphi, got infected, and when we added detection for Win32/Induc.A their programs were detected. Ironically, some other malicious software that was previously undetected by anti-virus vendors will now be detected because it is infected with Induc.A!” What id be trying to do is identify which programs i recently got hold of, removing those full programs (and asking for money back) and then trying to clean the system out. If the virus is spreading to other programs created by delphi it might take a while to clean it as you will have to do them all at once or they will just re spread Bit of a pain in the rear wish those virus makers did something more constructive and beneficial with their time! http://www.eset.eu/press/new-virus-win32-induc-a-delphi - i use nod32, they seem to be on the ball with this stuff.
