jevansio
Maybe this will help with setup http://www.rtec.ch/dsbc_manual.html
Jamesy
Thanx for the link that was interesting. I didnt even know there was a gain setting. But what i wanted to know was if its normal for my boost to change? The boost limit ia set to 1.25 and on 52 ratio its usually about 1.2 bar. However sometimes without touching the boost controller i might see 1.23-1.25 from it ......
Jamesy
Anyone?
DaveR
Is it during gear changes? Boost can spike higher than the maximum limit on gear changes.
nigelboyne
my boost controller is set to 1.45 bar uk supra but have seen 1.57/1.6 bar as member said its spiking for fraction seconds
Jamesy
Ok cool. As it only shows the max boost achieved its currently showing 1.25. However when i reset it i'll usually see 1.2 - 1.22. Every now and then when i floor it it'll nudge up to 1.24 - 1.25. I just thought a b/controller sets the limit and thats it, but if this is normal then cool. Ive got the safety limit set to 1.25 anyway!
nigelboyne
keep an eye on the boost when temp drops
Jamesy
Does that make it run more boost then?
nigelboyne
i always get higher spike readings in cold weather .plus the car is a lot stronger in cooler weather
Jamesy
yeah i have realised im actually running about 1.15 bar but the occassional spike to 1.24 for a second which is why my peak bar shows the highest reading.... im happy now
hadyn
I thought one of the main benefits of an electronic boost controller is that it doesnt spike???
shima60
internal wastgates spike a bit more than external. this can't be helped no matter what boost controller you have although an electronic one can controll it better
