devan
Hi, Just been looking around the engine bay and noticed the pipe in the picture just there, it goes nowhere, http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1192/enginepipe2a.th.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/4079/enginepipea.th.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6894/enginepipe3a.th.jpg I can only think that the previous owner had to disconnect it from the white air intake pipe which he installed for some reason, Can somebody advise me if it is safe to be left taped up with electricians tape as it is? Seems a bit strange to me. And what does the pipe do? Cheers, Ash.
miko_supra
Looks like it should be going into the intake pipe, but as you have an aftermarket one there is nowhere to attach it. What it actually does i do not know.

Jay_vr6
is it not part of the pcv system ? that hose feeds oil vapour back into the intake ?
bromy
It should feed back into the intake.
devan
Right, cheers for the replies, So would you say this needs connecting up? I might try and get an orginal pipe off somebody if there are any so i can re-attach it and put my mind at rest.
bromy
So would you say this needs connecting up? Not really, You can either have a 'catch can' arrangement or attach a mini k and n filter to the rocker cover. devan
Is this what you mean for a catch tank to attach my pipe to? Cheers. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Polished-Oil-Catch-Tank-TOYOTA-CELICA-COROLLA-MR2-SUPRA_W0QQitemZ230369637554QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item35a319b4b2&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

csa
Not really, You can either have a 'catch can' arrangement or attach a mini k and n filter to the rocker cover. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/kimberley1979/1.jpg I'd say that's a really bad idea. Oil can leak from that little filter and onto the manifold which will be red hot = fire = not good !
