northstretch
Hi guys, I've got three NA Manual ECU's at home ready for my manual swap. They are all pre-facelift but im not sure which to use. I doubt it matters but the reason im asking is that my car has no ABS so im guessing an ECU for an ABS car will throw an engine light? So therefore if one of my ecu's is non abs i'll go for that one. Anyone got any idea's? EPC doesnt really tell me anything... TOYOTA 89661 - 14610 175700 - 4771 12V I've also got a 175700 - 4772 & 175700 - 4773
Homer
I posted a reply yesterday when someone asked a similar question. All Manual NA's have the same ECU part number: 89661-14610. It shouldn't matter if the car has ABS or not - I put an NA ECU from a non-ABS car into one with ABS and the ABS works fine, no errors or other problems. Not sure what those other numbers represent, they're most likely to be revision numbers.
northstretch
Cool, that makes sense. Well in that case i'll go with the newest revision number Cheers Darryl

Homer
question... good idea to change the tach to manual tach when converting from auto?? It's not required, the auto one will work fine.
Kendo11
Dragging up an old thread here I know, but easier than starting a new one. I have two Mines ECU units for my NA, both of which have the same part number (89661-14610) but they have a different secondary number. The older looking one has 175700-4771 and the slightly newer one has 175700-4772. Is there a definitive answer as to what the difference is, or if they're just revision numbers?
