JamieP
Maybe? I still like real CF but all the fibreglass backed stuff? Just had my carbon front lip sprayed black after i damaged it and i think it looks much better.
Al Massey
Most carbon fibre products on the market now are just 2x twill ply carbon on top of fibreglass. Its still carbon fibre, just not 100% And still can look good
Scott
I've never liked the look of carbon and always preferred it painted. Its meant to be painted anyway, its made for weight not looks. Will look far better painted IMO.
hoff
Depends on the model of car and then it's own individual look IMO. For example a carbon bonnet on a white Civic Jorden looks a bit chavvy to me, but on a White Mugan kitted new shape looks quite good.
SupraAyf
I was going to tell you about the Chav-thing Jamie but I didn't want to hurt your feelings. It's chose Chavy carbon-looking bonnets that I hate.
JODY T
i dont think so but it can get a bit over the top.. and the car has to suit the carbon parts with the overall look.. I thought your car was very tastefull.. But i did see the crack on the lip so cant really do much else but paint it...
SupraStar 3000
TRD wings work when the carbon blade but having owned a TSII Carbon hood I'm beginning to prefer the standard look.

Maybe if it was just the bonnet it may look a little chavy, but each piece complements the other which doesn't make it look chavy. It looks carefully thought about and picked out:)
hadyn
I dont think it will ever be chavvy as it has a level of functionality. I just think the look is getting a bit old now - just like OTT 90s spoilers, 3 spoke wheels etc etc
jackso11
Carbon is just another way of spelling chav isn't it? Just open a copy of max power or fast car mag, there is your answer, full of carbon and full of chavs.
jevansio
I quite like it, although the sprayed looks just as good. My lass wants me to get mine sprayed all black when I get a respray, maybe a will, but I do like the highlights it gives to a car.

AndrewOW
I really hope Garfy doesn't see this thread, as he may be very upset! I'll let him explain if he comes along.

For example a carbon bonnet on a white Civic Jorden looks a bit chavvy to me, but on a White Mugan kitted new shape looks quite good. No such thing, all Civic Jordans are yellow, you must mean a white EK9 Civic Type-R, or yellow Civic Jordan. I think Carbon fibre looks good some some cars, and not on others. In disagreement with you Hoff (sorry, I'm not picking on you) I think a cf bonnet looks good on EK Civics... Thinking about it, I don't recall seeing many, it any, cf bonnets on any un-jap cars? Is cf a jap thing??

The Mugan one they did in Red with the CF was stunning (think I'm thinking of the right car). And now I come to think of it i dont think I've CF on anything other than Jap. kill1308
I think Carbon looks like old hat now unless it's on a proper race car. Weight saving aspect of it's great, just paint it
RedM
Pagani Zonda F = okay use of CF Anything else = trying too hard.
Gaz6002
Carbon can be OK if it's done subtly.
Ewen
Personally, I like CF. Not too much, just a bit front and rear. As for 'silver carbon' however, I'm not a fan.
AndrewOW
Hopefully, Garfy will be along in a short while (ahem). Anyway, I will be seriously thinking of getting my active front spoiler done in carbon soon, but I'll let Garfy explain.
jazz1
I think carbon only looks good on black, coloured cars looks odd as it makes it look like a scrap yard job
