Jellybean
What is the general consenus is on this; If an employee gets swine flu or have to work offsite due to it, they are setting us up to have remote access i.e. from Home But they want us to pay for the internet connection out of our own pocket, over here on average its 25 pounds per month, with a minimum contract of 12 months Considering we have received a pay cut and we are on the low end of the wage scale, I personally think it is taking the piss

ozz
If they have swine flu then they should be off work. No, working from home. If you are ill you are ill. I thought the sickness scheme had been overhauled (or overhaul is planned) to say what you are well enough to do. We've had a number of people of with 'suspected' swine flu, some are really ill with vomitting etc, others just have a sore throat and a runny nose and could easily work from home.
