Strange echo! :tumble:

Basically i had a replacement engine and it is overfuelling (not running right all the time) just wanted to see if there was a posibility the replacement engine was a uk spec as mine is a jap car!! or wether the car just might need a good tune!

I'm no expert but did you change the ECU for a Jap one with the appropriate g/box (6spd/auto)?

Basically everything was kept the same apart from replacement engine and turbos , the original engine in my car was jap spec , i am only assuming that there is a chance that they put a uk spec one in becuase of the problems!! thats why i need to know the differences in engines so i can see what spec was put in!

On second thoughts, unless you changed the ECU (or added an aftermarket one), how does the car know its fuelling a UK engine. I guess it'll massively over fuel if it expects to see the 440's when 550's are installed.

Also what about the MAF?

Edit: Merckx - sorry mate, I've got fat fingers and take a long time to type stuff :D :D

Guest Terry S

back up here. If you have put a UK engine in a JDM ecu'd car, inc 550's, not only will it overfuel, there is a good chance the injectors could lock up as you dont have a resistor pack!
