I've got the G1 at the minute which i love but has the G2 still got the qwerty keyboard? I dont think i could go back to touch screen txt messaging, takes far too long!

No its got a touch screen sadly, but its ok cos the spell check system is pretty good so it filters out most of the crap you mistakenly type. Its alot thinner than the G1 which I found a little bit of a bind, plus the battery life is at least 100% better than the 1 day I used to get lol.

PS Johnny, wtf are you on about?! :search::p

Yeah i had an LG viewty before, and you cant physically feel the keys so makes it harder and slower.

1 day! Mine was like that first then read to fully dis-charged it (keep trying to turn it on until it won't) and then charge it over night and it's been a bit better since then, 2 full days WOW!

I'm on to my third day day with no charging at the minute and its down to 23%, will it last the day?? :search:

Well I've got one :)

Went for the Samsung Galaxy i7500 in the end, it was either that or the HTC hero. The fact that the Samsung has an OLED screen, larger battery, and a flash swung it though. A large plus on the HTC's side though was the fact that there has currently been a lot more development for apps gone into the HTC offerings, but fixes for apps to run on Galaxy are not far behind and I'm sure things will only get better the more Android phones are out there.

First impressions are very nice, took a bit of getting used to after using Nokia's for so many years, but didn't take long. I've not really tried out any of the apps yet, so I'd be interested to hear of people's recommendations. :)

Fancy TV, fancy phone... fancy pants!

I've asked you before not to watch me getting dressed!

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it, I was looking at the i7500 recently and it looks like a potential replacement for my Omnia.

Really impressed so far, the Nokia S40 interface was a bit dated by today's standards and from what I'd seen of the S60 phones I wasn't particularly impressed. Battery life seems good, phone was fully charged yesterday lunch and did a fair bit of playing around with the phone and it's still 90%, and phones generally seem to get better after a few charges.

If I had to have one gripe with it so far it's that the Samsung PC Suite software is crap, and just doesn't seem to work with the phone at all. Seems a lot of users have the same problem and I believe it needs an update to support the more recent firmware versions.

Android phones are definitely the future from what I've seen so far. :)
