Tom tom for iphone

Last time I checked Clinton Cards were doing 2 x £15 iTunes vouchers for £20. So you can spend £40 and get £60 of iTunes store credit.

Saying that there is CoPilot as some have mentioned and also Navigon. I'd have bought TomTom if it weren't for the price, I'm now waiting for some magazine or such to do a review of all three alongside.

I have the co pilot its ok not the best compared to a tom tom. I was thinking of paying 60 pounds but i already have 3 tom tom saT navs at home. My question is if you jail break the iphone someone told me you can download all the paid apps for free?

Have you tried it? maybe my tight mate who does not like paying for apps is talking crap than?:search:

Yes he is! :)

I would also get it but the price is way to much, it would be better to get a standalone unit for a little extra.

Thought I have to admit when I had Tom Tom on my MDA it was very handy when I got lost or decided to take a shortcut...no need to remember to bring the Tom Tom with you. I use to just squash the phone between the windscreen and the dash! No holder needed and no marks left on the wind screen for thiefs! :D

Ouch!

CoPilot is £22.99 or something, that's UK maps only though. Perfectly good for what I need (running that on Android, though).

I bought it for my G1 but found it to be pretty buggy, phone would crash every time I took a call through the BT stereo whilst running copilot :(

Thread resurrection!!!

Hello people

I'm due to upgrade my HTC Tytn mobile and have been looking at the iPhone however I use my installed TomTom software (Courtesy of Jake many moons ago) lots in the UK & US and feel like I might be taking a step backwards if it's not that reliable on the iPhone, I’ve never had any issues with it on the HTC, it's been rock solid and the speed camera warnings are invaluable.

Has the iPhone Tom Tom app improved (bugs removed) since it's release last year and are the maps and speed camera warnings up to scratch?

Cheers

Chris

If you're phone is jailbroken, then you can install xGPS which is free (and legitimately free too). It's SatNav software that integrates with Google maps, with full dynamic updating, turn-by-turn instructions, etc. I think it's awesome and does the job very well, so I would certainly never consider paying for TomTom on my iPhone now.
