Wheel bearing noise?.....Help please!

I'm trying to find out which one of my wheel bearings on my e46 m3 is noisy.

The problem is that its so loud now that the noise travels and am finding it hard to pin point it.

Checked all the wheels for play and they seem good but have a droning noise and it goes away when i turn left.

I think its one of the front bearings and would change both but at approx £230-250 fitted a side its not cheap.

So does this mean it is the passenger side bearing thats bad?

as when i turn left the load goes onto the right (drivers) side bearing.

Silly question, but your tyres arent flared or have got a strange wear pattern?

Ive seen loads of tyre's were the inside tread has like a castle wall effect wear, and they sounded like a wheel bearing gone

Saves you a few quid if it's that :)

Trust me mate, its gone past the sound bit now and gives a slight vibaration through the steering wheel.

We jacked it up and spun the wheels and sounds like its the passenger side thats had it as it was making a nasting rumbling when spun.

It did not do this 2 days ago but must have obviously got worse!
