PJ
I recently brought some second hand LS400 front callipers/discs and supposedly Chris Wilson pads. Upon fitting them (not looked properly at them till now) One section has been ground down as you can see in the picture. All four pads are like this Can anyone think of a reason why? PJ
Anyone got any feedback at all about these before I go and order some new ones this morning?
AlanM
Chri is very helpful, why not drop him an e-mail? Oh, and sorry, I have no idea on why they should be like that
PJ
I guess I'll drop him a pm then instead even though I am unsure if they are CW pads or not. Was hoping to get some feedback on this and whether they are safe to be used, etc etc. Just looks very very odd. Kev_A
I would email Chris as he does not answer PM's
Chris Wilson
No idea why part of the pad material has been removed. I suspect that these have been used in the wrong application, and to get rid of a lot of braking effort at that end of the car the pad surface area has been reduced (incorrectly....). I only recall selling one set of pads for the Lexus brakes, ages ago.
