kosmic
For all those with vented bonnets etc.....Dont you guys (n girls) get problems with ingress of water when it rains into your engine bays to potentially f**k up your electrics etc etc?? Thinking of getting a top secret bonnet or similar but worried about water issues etc

kosmic
Thanks peeps. So i take it most bonnets come with some sort of protection??
terribleturner
There are always massive threads about this on supraforums, but i think the general outcome is it's fine. Most come with rain protectors, but it's not gonna do the engine any damage the amount of water that gets through. Obviously if your next mod was to turn it into some sort of underwater going vessel then you'll have problems otherwise it's fine. Next thing is to decide which bonnet you want. It's taken me about 4 months so far and i still don't know.

Crikey too much to choose from, ermm i think i like the top secret... i was considering getting cool-louvres to punch in some louvres as well as this is a little more sublte. I cant remember who it was but someone on here put some heat sensitive paper underneath their bonnet and then used that to indicate where to punch their louvres in...very clever
