Clinton
Hi, Im looking to get a Boost gauge and was just wondering whats better/safer, an electronic or mechanical boost gauge...?? Whats the difference...pros and cons... Thanks in advance Clinton
johnny g
Electronic is just a wire trailing through from the sender to the gauge. More expensive, but easier to install. Mechanical is a tube that's T'd in your boost line from the turbo and trailed back to the gauge. Cheaper, harder to install as you can get kinks in the line. As for accuracy - it depends on who makes them I suppose...

Clinton
Ok thanks for your replies gents...looks like an electronic boost gauge it is then! Cheers Clinton
deathmonkey
I have a mechanical Glowshift boost gauge and it's awesome. Responds like lightning and absolute piece of p*** to install. Honestly, if you would rather not spend the money on electrical, mechanical is a simple option also. Not difficult at all. And you won't get kinks in the line if you fit it properly?!
