Mike
I saw this last night and to be honest, I'm filing it under 'alright'. The trailer sold me a slightly camp B-Movie romp through Nazi themed 70's exploitation films... and what I got was somewhere between that and a slightly more serious film... and neither. The set pieces were nice, if some ran a little long, and the dialogue a little 'word play for the sake of it' – true Tarrentino style I know, but nothing of note here. I think I would watch it again, but Kill Bill with Nazi's, it aint.
martini
I had a feeling it would be like this Mike. I think I'll skip it. I loved Grindhouse, but saw that on my own TV. Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction are masterpieces, but everything the man does is not the holy grail of filmography.
Scoboblio
I thought it was typical Tarantino - laughed a lot, cringed a lot and loved how it swung between completely over the top to very subtle. Yet if you try to explain it to someone who's never heard of Tarantino, it sounds like absolute rubbish. Brad Pitt's Italian accent FTW.
