i have a new addition to my family so recently bought a J reg toyota estima to cart the kids around in. i bought it for £240 with a cracked head (common fault), anyways, i changed the head and put a new MOT on it and thought my 16" standard supra wheels would look nice on it but i have been told that because the wheels have a different profile tyre from front to back it would kill the transfer box.

i checked the sizes and they are about 30mm out in overall diameter and had a difference of .7% or something like that.

question is, will it kill my transfer box or will it be ok to drive? i did google it and got conflicting results so i'm still not sure. anyone else had this problem?

cheers guys

i cant change the tyres cos at the moment the standard size are the closest they can be, its all to do with the sidewall cos its a percentage of the width and not an actual measurement of the wall so the inch difference from front to back messes me up.

i guess i could go for another set of fronts (larger sidewall), the 9" rears only just fit with about 5-10mm to spare on the side of the inner arch.

thanks for the idea about that
