1 McLaren F1

2 Ferrari F40

3 Pagani Zonda

4 Lancia Delta Intergrale

5 Bugatti Veyron

6 Honda NSX/R

7 Porsche 911 997 GT3

8 911 2,7 RS

9 Honda Integra Type R (DC2)

10 Nissan Skyline R32/R33/R34

That's not the same list I'm looking at in the magazine, maybe an older one?

I wasn't going to spoil it too much for those people who subscribe but:

1. Zonda F

2. Lotus 340R

3. 996 GT3

4. Caterham R300

5. Megane R26.R

6. Elan (the RWD one)

7. Clio Trophy

8. F50

9. MX5

10. Evo VI Makinen

Obviously it's a subjective topic from driver to driver.

This is issue 135 BTW, October 2009.

Twice, MK1 at 100th and the MK3 at 43rd, no MK2 though, probably for similar reasons the Supra wasn't listed.

:search:

Edit: Ahh, that explains that then.

Can't understand why a 997 GT3 wouldn't be better than a 996 GT3, obviously if it's just a vote then prolly more people have 996's, then the list loses it's credibility as it's not who is best, rather who is most favoured?

Its always a popularity contest with these things. To be taken with a pinch of salt.

Surely for handling Elise's and Radical's would be at the top?

It might be but surely it's no better than any other of the top of the range hot hatches (Focus RS/ST, Civic Type R etc)

The only car which comes close with FWD is the Megane R26.R, which is on the list too. IMHO of course, but the Clio Trophy is really quite underestimated.

Still, you're right, it's a subjective list. I guess it depends on the roads/writers/weather etc etc etc.

My mate had a 182 and it was superb, it wouldn't out handle my Evo V though.

Was it a Trophy?

Was it a Trophy?

Na, he got the cup suspension but not when i drove it though.

I agree with what you are saying but you cannot compare the handling of a fwd clio to a awd evo (and thats me taking one of the understated handling cars).
