Wez
i always thought there was no point dropping in some larger injectors on a bpu car - is this true? or will it increase bhp? Injectors dont add any BHP, they are only a means of delivering fuel into the engine.
Jamesy
right - cheers Wez.... if i am making the power i think i am they would prob be a good investment in the near future to keep the engine happy

Jamesy
Are you saying you have 400rwhp (470bhp) from a stock tt with just an fcon ecu
Ian C
400 rwhp thats close on 470bhp fwhp mapped at tdi And one assumes dyno'd there as well?
Guigsy
i VERY much doubt you are getting 400 fwhp. My full bpu UK spec is a full 15 bhp short of that. and 470fwhp on stock tubbies... hummmm Edited August 16, 2009 by Guigsy (see edit history)
nigelboyne
my car is full bpu++++ the net stage is apu. i have posted the dyno graphs from tdi. the most accurate rolling road out there 401whp 405 wtorque. going by the maths thats roughly 470fwhp 15 hp thats not a lot behind mine and considering the condition and tlc and mileage of mine your doing brillant to be only 15 horses behind mate well done Edited August 16, 2009 by nigelboyne (see edit history)

nigelboyne
my max speed stock form was169mph/273km/h gps.my car dyno 274 rwhp thats 323fwhp is everyone agreed on this. i ran out of road 177mph and still accelerating thats 380 roughly fly wheel hp so if i reach 190 /192mph that will be roughly 470bhp fly.for every mile per hour below ther is a formula to get the fly wheel hp
Jamesy
if u have 470 bhp fly with a bpu car u must have the biggest bhp achieved ever on this site.... congrats!

nigelboyne
sorry guys 401hp is at the hubs not the wheels the power loss is a lot less roughly 9percent so i am a good 30hp down in what i taught more like 440bhp going on the numbers
Jamesy
still good numbers for BPU mate

Rich
I acheived 473 bhp at the hubs and 451 lbft of torque at thors dyno on hybrids and 650 cc injectors many years ago. 550cc injectors are supposed to be ideal for a bpu car and 440's are apparently running very close to the edge fuel wise at 1.3/4 bar on stock twins.
