Marc
what power increase could i achieve by adding hks camshafts on a bpu car, is it just top end power? will there be more torque, mid range?
JamieP
Id not bother, j-spec cams are good for 600bhp, dont lose the drivability.

MarkR
I wouldn't waste my money. There are better ways to get power. BPU loses low down power when you pop cams in. Unless you drive your car at redline all the time you're wasting the cash... The cams shift the curve way right.
heckler
Sooo. would this be the same for singles? bearing in mind I have a T61 on a cast mainfold...
Wez
Sooo. would this be the same for singles? bearing in mind I have a T61 on a cast mainfold... With a remap to suit and HKS 264s installed by CW I gained 50fwhp at the top end, sure enough its nice but it shifted my power curve taking away some low down punch. You could argue that the car had too much punch before as it spun the wheels up very very easily, where as now it hooks up a lot easier, therefore the power is more usable. Depends what you want. For a track car that stays in high revs, a higher power band isnt a problem, for a road car I would want to keep the power band wider and lower for better drivability. IMO of course
