Can you confirm this is a blown turbo?

Hi guys,

I believe my 2nd turbo has gone bye bye but would be grateful for your confirmation/other ideas. (I've been reading all the 'blown turbo' threads and it seems this way rather than pipework related? )

The first thing I noticed was a strange noise from the car during and after using the 2nd turbo (overtaking) which took a while to die after going back to cruising. Noise was like a rumble or drone which didn't seem connected to engine speed. Some blue smoke. Didn't seem too serious at this point and (as it went away) I drove on.

A mile down the road I used boost again and the noise was MUCH worse and loads of blue smoke behind. Again, once the revs were down the drone noise drifted off slowly (like the impeller was slowing down) and the blue smoke lessened, then cleared completely.

I was 2 mins away from my destination so went on slowly and all seemed fine although the Car smelt of burnt oil on arrival.

Drove home again later (10 miles) with a very light foot with no more noises or noticable smoke although the car had the same hot oil smell when I got out.

The first turbo seemed to be working fine giving a normal level of boost.

The car is a '93 jspec with no power mods apart from a 2nd decat and a boost guage.

Any help appreciated!
