a98pmalcolm
Hi guys/girls. Ok strange problem occured today. In all the gears when i put myfoot rite down, it boosts fine till just over 5000RPM... What happens is the boost just stops! Even on the boost gauge you see the boost just running down! But suddenly shift to the next gear, it boosts fine till just over 5000RPM and the boost stops and the dump valve is very faint. Its like a boost pipe coming off. Theres no oil from the dump valve which would normaly indercate turbo on its way out, so thats ok. Can anyone help me? Thanks as always Paul

Kirk
funnily enough ian had a similiar issue in germany where his boost would build up and then drop off.. turned out to be splits in vac pipes. check your vaccuum lines

Kirk
there is an arrangement of rubber pipes that run along the top of the turbos, check each and every one of them end to end. Would be more ideal if you can pressurise the system with the engine off it would make your life alot easier.
Chris Wilson
Sequential control problem. Check ALL hoses, PROPERLY. If nothing obvious hits you farm it out to a specialsist to preserve your sanity, it can be a PITA if you don't know what everything does.
