carl0s
Stock intercoolers. Any thoughts why this one didn't get many bids? Yet this one, which ended 30 minutes later, caused a bidding frenzy and sold for nearly twice as much?
Bobbeh
One looks clean and from an unmodifed looking car? The other doesnt due to the marks on the front and the sparco tube hanging off it? I dunno.
carl0s
well he assures me it's got next to no fins missing, and guarantees it works perfectly. It's gotta be better than mine which has about 35% of the fins missing and is full of cigarette stubs!!
Bobbeh
Hehe Was it put in the same selling catergory as the 2nd one? sometimes the ads are missplaced. If it sounds good yeah then go for it
carl0s
ah, the second one was also listed in 'Tuning Parts' looks like I might've got a bargain yay!

When i took out my wheel arch lining to do my suspension, about 4 cigarette ends fell out with it ! Maybe they like to place them in cars for no reason lol !! Guest TT Supraman
I bought the second one which went for nearly twice as much. I was going to bid for the one you got but I thought I'd go for the other one as it looked in very good nick. Also as it came off an import, the import intercoolers do not degrade as fast due to less salty roads in Japan. Anyway you did get a bit of a steal, I think i did also, a stock smic for less than a hundred, I ain't complainin.

Just gotta figure out how to fit it. I hope it can be done from inside the wheel arch and not a bumper-off job.
Guest TT Supraman
I think I will get mine professionally fitted, provided it won't be too much. Basically I have a '93 UK spec, so the original intercoolers in them are pretty much fecked and I couldn't afford a new one so this will do. JohnA
I saw the one on eBay yesterday, the main pic was showing the back of it though, from the front it didn't look as good. SMICs go for around £50 here on the board anyway...
attilauk
yeah i bought mine from scooter for £50... it is a bumper off and wheelarch job mate, you could do it from the wheelarch only if you are lucky (and very dexterous) but its not worth damaging the new one for the sake of saving yourself a couple of hours work
Guest TT Supraman
Can any of you guys give me instructions on how to fit the SMIC into to my soop? Thanks.
