Which one? PS3 or XBOX360 as a free gift

Well that seems the most simple way Mike thanks, but if it's that's simple why do people use PS3 Media Server and tversity? Confusing

I have no idea... and this might be the wrong way to do it on the PS3 as for me it's quite laggy (but my PS3 network connection is slow generally) - but it works perfectly well on XBox.

I'm glad you've asked that question - here's a link to help us discover that particular answer :D

Well it looks like the PS3 is winning and not the "best gaming console ever" Xbox 360

It has more games?

It only has 141 more games, not bad since its been out a year longer and the PS3 games are better and take longer to produce

PS3 price is dropping to £249 now that they have announced a new slim one with a 120GB drive.

Doesn't the unsmooth matt black surface look horrible? Would've been nice if it'd been really smooth plastic.

Also wondering if the slimline can have it's HDD upgraded as I guess they've removed the caddy assembly.

Firmware 3.0 a little disappointing too, bar getting the iPlayer it's all quite bland and boring and trying to imitate the wii/360

Smaller and cheaper is good, and the shiney surface on my original PS3 just attracts finger (and paw) prints, so I don't mind the matt finish.

The less USB ports, no memory card slots, and no PS2 hardware support don't bother me on the later models... but no Linux support on this new one? Can't see why they'd remove that.

Meh. Maybe worth buying one of these if you don't own a PS3 already, but I frankly still prefer the look of the original. The new will be good for car installs or caravans or boats etc and places where space is a premium, but I can't think of any reason for an existing owner to buy one.
