supspower
Well after many years of owning my first pride and joy it comes to an end! If people could keep the proper distance behind one another on a motorway things like this wouldn't happen! A truely sad time
mkirby
ouch!! i feel a whiplash claim coming on on a brighter note the exhaust looks ok? must have been quite a high vehicle that hit you as it looks like the damage/impact was around the number plate? supspower
I will be indeed claiming whiplash! It was a huge 4x4 some old pick up truck thing. Got my exhaust and air intake kit back

DSK
thats still quite an impact based on the damage, hard luck..... hope the insuarnce claim goes OK etc. I have found these days you have to cater for everyone else's negligence and lack of common sense. supspower
Pretty bad whiplash thou ive had worse from head banging at some gigs, and a previous accident similar to this. We were traveling about 75 on the outside lane then some numpty decided to pull out of a junction van had to swerve over to the outside lane while slamming on the brakes, car infront slams on the brakes to avoid the van, i slam on mine to avoid the car infront and Mr i have a 4x4 towing a huge storage thing slams his on but due to having the extra weight and being too close goes straight into me! Suppose now though with the payout for my car plus compensation, it should contribute nicely to a new TT to add to my collection.
supspower
Annoyingly though this is the 2nd time an accident like this has happened to me and lost two civics because of it in the space of 3 years! I just fear for the supra now when i go on a motorway
tbourner
You can get whiplash at under 10mph rear ended, so many people think they're just pulling a fast one but it's very easy to damage your neck when being done up the backside. wkdtime
Do you have whiplash? Judging from the damage of his car..I think so.
supspower
Someone was towing in the outside lane? A few people have said that...apparently if your towing your not even allowed to hit over 65? But sadly theres no way of prooving the speed and wasnt put down in the police report. Was depressing watching everyone drive off and theres me just left there to wait for the pick up to drive my car away.

Lbm
...but it's very easy to damage your neck when being done up the backside. Ah...the Barrymore method. Anyway, sorry to hear your news Supspower.

shima60
they can judge the speed he was doing from the skidmarks can they not? thats what they did in my crash luckily i was doing 40 but sorry for your loss car looks pretty banged up. could be worse though at least your ok

That's why I was asking, its almost synonymous with chav culture. They're bringing us all down to their level. A secretary here had whiplash from quite a low speed shunt, and she was in a lot of pain for weeks. I always ensure my headrests are fully up and as far forward as possible, but there's no option for this in the supra.
martini
I was shunted from behind in Japan last summer. I was a passenger - my friend's car was written off. He got money for a new car and we both got money for treatment (massages etc) in Japan. He's Japanese and also helped negotiate a sum of money for me as compensation. I wish I would have waited to now to cash it in with the Yen so weak! That money is now mostly in the form of my Japanese Supra
