p111ddy
Currently I have a Mountfield RV 150 mower (shown below) As it's a nice day & I'm not working I decided to cut the grass, however when I pulled the cord to start her up nothing happend apart from me being left with a slack cord. When I removed the cover this is what I found I know I need to some how get the cord back in but I just don't have a clue about mowers & unfortunately I don't have the manuel anymore either. So if anyone could give me an idea on what to do so I can get this working & cut the jungle which is ment to be a garden please do. Thanks for any help given, Michael
Paul
I know it's not an immediate fix but not that expensive? http://www.mowermagic.co.uk/acatalog/MOUNTFIELD_RECOIL_STARTERS.html
PeteA
Personally I'm pleased that there's one less petrol mower in operation - damn fools round this way seem to think they have gardens big enough to warrant them, and also seem to think its reasonable to fire them up for hours on end weekend mornings! Is the spring still wound in the spool? I've re-wound many an R/Cs pull start, if the springs ok, its usually just a case of feeding the cord in around the side of the spool, not the easiest thing in the world, but do-able. Hence me owning one. The spring unfortunately is no longer around the spool. Which is why I had to ask the question because I didn't no if this would be a simple-ish job or not tbh Thanks for the help so far guys

Carl_S
Hey mate. Good luck with the mower. I suppose it's quite an easy fix for someone who knows. Can't help thinking that if you were nicer to the manuel he would not have left, but i know it can be against the norm to have domestics these days. Good luck mate.
