Ark
OK, so I keep getting brake judder, and I bought myself a DTI gauge to test the runout. Now, the manual gives a 0.002" maximum runout, but I'm unclear on testing this. Is it: a) 0.002" either side of 'zero' or b) 0.002" from the furthest measurement on one side to the further measurement on the other side. Or to put it another way, 0.001" either side of 'zero' Obviously getting a result that is compliant with B would give the smoothest ride, but is A also within tolerance? Thanks
spidermonkey
If you have a max of 0.002" runout it will be 0.001" either side of 0 (answer 'b') or 0.002" on one side of the 0. IE it can only move 2 incriments to stay within tolerance. Hope this helps
