hoff
I fitted my boost gauge last night. It is reading 0.8 bar, stock. I have done BPU mods so was surprised that it was not at least 1 bar. I located the vac pipe near the back of the engine. I am told near the front would have been better. Is that true and would it make much of a differance to the reading if any? I am also using the clear piping which was supplied. Is that worth replacing with something better? Is the clear likely to leak? TBH the 2nd turbo didn't feel it was comming on as strong after the gauge was fitted, but I thought I should ask about the location too. Thanks. AlanM
Mine is off the vac pipe at back and never been a problem. A couple of weeks ago the small dia (3.1mm) hose to the gauge sensor split (a tiny wee split which was difficult to diagnose) and she would only boost to 0.8 bar so I would check to make sure it is not a leak somewhere mate
hoff
I think that is most likely. I also imagine that it'll be coming the pipe in question.
