I have always highly rated F1s and found them to be probably the best allround road tyre....only beaten by the new F1 asymetrics. But saying that I don't know how they perform on BIG bhp Supras. spartan
Based on current recommendations, the best tyres for your Supra are (probably): 1. Toyo Proxes T1-R 2. Avon ZZ3 2. Bridgestone RE050A 2. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 2. Pirelli P Zero Nero 2. Pirelli P Zero Rosso 3. (that's enough for now) The more recommendations are made, the more meaningful the list becomes. So, to paraphrase a puppet driving a Corsa, "Come on!".

spartan
I've found some info. on the Toyo Proxes T1-R suggesting that, during development, this tyre was extensively tested on European roads and, in particular, here in the UK. Maybe that's why it's proving a popular choice in this thread? It's also meant to have very good (low) treadwear. In 'publicised' tests it doesn't do particularly well. Perhaps it's just really well suited to the Supra. It would be good to have some more member feedback on this tyre. L33
thing is with this doesnt it depend on the use? as i said before im considering a set of r888s for my car to help get power down but not many want to spend that kinda money on a tyre, thus look unpopular, so possibly wont look very good even tho for its purpose they could be a good tyre? not knocking this thread as its a fantastic way of rating tyres, just want more people who have had r888s to post god dammit! lol! You're right, of course. I was hoping that we'd get so much feedback, from across the whole forum membership, that those kind of differences would be evened out. Unfortunately, it's not worked out like that - so far (maybe this thread will come into its own in a couple of years or so)!
