Bloomin speed de-limiter!

Barry

Recommended Posts

Decided to pack up on the way home from the meet round at Matts yesterday!

Cruising along at 90, decided to put my foot down on a nice straight, got to just under 115 on the speedo and it just stopped! engine cut for about a second and then started again!

:twak:

F*ck, Sh1t, Balls... Mine's just done the same thing on the way into work.

There I was, poodling down the outside lane of the M20 at 110 following a Beemer, Bm moves out the way, I go to overtake, then stop overtaking, then start overtaking, then....

Bo11ox, Just what I need a few days before going to Elvington...

I thought I'd pull the dash apart in the hope of finding something obvious. There wasn't. However, I removed the little converter box's power and earth, left them off for about 10 minutes, then put it all back together.

When I took the car for a test drive, everything was ok again :conf:

weird! - The only possible thing I can think of that may be relative is that I had a flat battery yesterday and then jumpstarted the car. - I guess it had locked up.

Anyway, back on track for Elvington so I'm happy :)

I'm here!

Whats the problem.

You can always contact me direct on [email protected]

If there is any problem with the DSC SLD delimiters then please let me know. I'm more than happy to sort it out.

Also make sure that it is the speed delimiter and not your spark plugs breaking down at high boost. Easiest way is to accelerate slowly over 112mph. If it goes above it's likely to be another cause.

I'm not saying it's not the DSC SLD but you never know.

Anyway if you have any problems with any of my stuff please let me know. I cannot make it better for your or the next man if no ones says anything to me directly.

The DSC SLD's did have a problem earlier on in the year when they would break down (or rather the outputs would suddenly stop) and reset after a power cycle, I made a hardware mod which I hope has cured this, for most people this may only be a reprogram of the hardware and others might be a replacement unit.

Please let me know.

I want to produce quality gear and give you good customer service so don't be shy.

Pete

ps don't assume I'm always on this list, depends if I have a nappy free hand!!! You can always get me direct via email.

......., depends if I have a nappy free hand!!!

That USED to be, if you had a Soldering Hand free ! !

How times change.......:p

Fat S.

(ps. mine's still OK so far Pete - tested Fuel-Cut/De-limiter/speedo

conversion up to ~ind' 165*** Sunday.......

Only my underpants broke down 'Under Load' ! !)

(pps. I'm DETERMINED to squeeze my hand up under the dash and

reach the Cruise Control box to '5:8' the signal but it's a tight

bl**dy cranny - 75*** is just not enough for cruise, you need

~80/90 to be really useful)

Well, it now seems to have fixed its self.!

Just got upto 140 without any trouble, but got a lovely slide when I hit the second turbo in 2nd gear.! Wet road and 5% slip on the RLTC dont go together too well, must remember to flick it to WET!! :twak:

I think thats the only bad thing about the RLTC, its not illuminated. :(
