Active Spoiler problem

Afternoon all.

I have had a search but still un sure about this. I bought a Active Spoiler, fitted it yesterday but it wont work! I can get it working with just a battery but when plugged in on the car the light on the switch flashes along with the ! dash light.

Could it be to do with the speedo conversion?

Thanks for any input.

I personally think it's a waste having the active spoiler without manual control. It looks awesome down, why wait until you hit 60 to have it on show?

It does look awesome down, but it's for aerodynamics and the lack of manual control must be for safety concerns.

If Toyota allowed manual control, they would have endless people curbing them because they forgot and would be replacing them all the time.

At 60mph, you shouldn't be near speed bumps or curbs :)

I've hit a curb at 60 before :) That was the left front wheel though and not the bumper. Also not in the Supra.

I've been pretty good so far at remembering to take mine up - not hit anything with it yet *touch wood*.

Driving around with an after market bumper has meant I take speed bumps ssSOOOOoooo slowly.

It was about 1 in the morning and I'd just got out of a van having been driven for 8 hours from Scotland to Malvern after a week's mountain biking holiday. On my way back to Cheltenham, I was fiddling with my CDs and didn't see the road bend slightly right before it moved to the left. I just clipped it and it swerved me a bit. Car was fine though and there was no one around. Not as dramatic as you might imagine :)

That's what puts me off getting an aftermarket bumper - I regularly drive places with pretty nasty ones. Plus I like the current look. Just need a bonnet scoop to complete my version of Mr Toyota's vision :)

Good to hear :)

I am after an active spoiler to put onto a stock bumper I have (when I get it fitted).

Speed bumps are ok, I haven't scratched mine yet - you just have to go about 5mph.

What are you getting on pins 1, 2 and 4

and what position is the spoiler in currently?

With ignition on and the spoiler up im getting nothing at pins 1,2 and 4 but getting volts at 3 and 5. No volts show at 1 or 2 with the down button pressed so wondering if its the ecu.
