penguin
its a 99 vectra dti ..... the pump is encoded and guess who you have to go to to get it replaced getting another pump will still require the ecu to be programmed
absz
very common fault on these has been for a few years now. might work out cheaper getting a used pump including immbolizer unit/key chip. its the circuit inside the pump that fails.
penguin
is this also a common fault on the newer vectras? i've been offered a 2003 model

Konrad
It was quite common on 2.0 DTI engines, with Bosch pumps (symbol was VP44 or something similiar). 2003 Vectra with 2.2 DTI engine and you should be fine, those got newer pump of different type and they are not prone to failure.
