I'm still a huge fan. They have to try new things, if it were the same all the time, it would become boring.

Maybe they'll rename the cool wall the "sick wall" next season to appeal to 14 year old boys, and make jokes about Hammond's height. Woo-hoo.

short episode then.

have i missed a episode of top gear or did they not feature the audi r8 v10 against the zr1, or the airport vehicle race??

Yeah - I've waited for the last 7 weeks to see that.

Just checked on iPlayer. At the start of episode 1 of this series, they showed a series of video clips of 'what you can expect in the next 7 weeks'. At 1min 18secs, there's definitely a clip of the R8 and a ZR1 on a track.

What happened to that?

Ok last night's episode was not the best, however I didn't think it was a strange ending at all with the Aston.

It was an incredible, sublime piece of photography. The aerial shots, the beautiful panning shots inside the car - as the outside was changing, the location, the sound of the engine and Clarkson not saying that much, with a subtle "goodnight" at the end.

Marvellous.
