dangerous brain
Looks like the 2JZ-GTE actually does and will run without an O2 sensor then. Just got my car up and running and despite my initial thoughts that there has to be an O2 sensor there is only the wideband thats powering the afr gauge which clearly doesn't work the ecu part of running the car. So how do I go about putting a stock O2 sensor onto a single turbo car?
Tricky-Ricky
Yes it will run fine, just pig rich! do you have a narrow band sim output from your wide band ? what make is it?
dangerous brain
Its an AEM wideband. So what is a narrow band sim? It runs pig rich under boost and quite lean after its warmed up at idle.

Don't know the AEM unit but my Innovate, and a few others has a configurable simulated narrow band output (same as a std o2 sensor) that you can feed to the std ECU. dangerous brain
OK how do I go about getting one of these as I could do with an O2 feed to the ecu?

michel lane
can you not just replace the AEM with the stock O2 sensor and find the feed back to the ecu ? . Else weld a bung for the stock O2 sensor on the mid pipe or DP ?. would be a cheaper option the purchasing a new wideband.
shima60
tre aem uego does have a ecu out. its the .5volt wire (red or pink i believe) i'v just installed the same one in my car hope this helps

shima60
ok i am the most utter tard in the world. uppon checking again the wire i talk about is white hahaha. here is the installation manual if you need it http://www.schnitzracing.com/manuals/AEMWBK.pdf

There is no wiring left in the car for the stock O2 sensor dude, no plugs, no wires, and no hole for the O2 sensor at all. It would be a complete re-install job. tre aem uego does have a ecu out. its the .5volt wire (red or pink i believe) i'v just installed the same one in my car hope this helps The white wire I have from the aem wideband does not seem to be recognised by the ecu. well it wasn't when the Fcon was installed. I'll try plugging the wire back in see what happens.
dangerous brain
OK so if I plug the AEM narrow band signal in the ECU will recognise that then? Another question for the technically minded. If I drop the fuel pressure with my fuel pressure regulator for now will that lean the fuel out enough to drive the car with the stock ecu on low boost settings or will I have to put 440's back in to run the stock ecu un-piggy backed? dangerous brain
The wideband signal from the uego needs to be adjusted to narrow band ie from 0-5 volts to 0-1 volt. Its easily done by adjusting the screw on the back of the gauge to position 4 as per instructions http://www.aempower.com/images/products/Installation%20Instructions%2030-4100.pdf
