eyefi
im trying to do a compression test and im having trouble getting the car to stop spraying fuel. the manual says to "disconnect the camshaft position sensor connectors and disconnect the solenoid resistor sensor connector". i cant get the cam position connections off cos there's a big bloody throttle body in the way which is very hot, and i cant find the solenoid resistor sensor connector. can anyone help me out? or is there any other way to stop it spraying fuel while the engine spins. its a jspec cheers,
Need4Speed
Guess. There's probably a fuse for the fuel pump (failing that, disconnect it) but whether the ECU will refuse to allow you to turn the engine over without a fuel pump, I don't know... surely somebody on this site knows. eyefi
did the test by pulling efi fuse 1. i was suprised by the results:- 1. 178 2. 176 3. 175 4. 176 5. 175 6. 180 the book spec is 150 psi (ish) or more with no less than 14 psi difference. it takes the piss really, a 10 yr old high performance car still pulling numbers like that. well done toyota. Syed Shah
Good numbers! Where did you get this done? I would be interested in doing a compression test as well. Thanks
