michel lane
Well unfortunately last weekend i developed a cold and it soon got worse. Next thing i know i started to have shivers during the day and coughs, then it got worse, my chest started tightening up and i found it hard to breathe. I bombarded myself with extra strenght lemsips and cough mixtures as i always go when i ever get a cold. Sunday came, my temprature was stable , but still something was not right , i continued to take the lemsip and cough mixture, had plenty of rest. Monday came, so i took the day of work, i started to have really bad headaches now and i developed a nautious state of mind , feeling very dizzy , so i decided to call the help line . Well within 5 min i an diagnosed as having swine flue. I received a number so that a collegue can collect my medication . Well its thursday now and after 3 days of medication i feel worse !!! i feel more dizzy then ever , i cant focus correctly and i got the shits !! . It tablets seem to make things worse now, so i called the GP and they have stated its a side effect and it will wear off when i finish the course. WTF..... so these tablets that i am taking is making me feel worse, but thats just a side effect , dont worry about it, when you run out of tables you will be fine. I have a strange feeling this medication is not the right solution and its just a temp solution until then can distribute the required drugs thats in september !!.. i feel like a guinea pig .... Chewie
I developed chronic malignant swine flu. Rang NHS direct. All I got was crackling. Skin broke out in rashers. Trotted off to Boots for oinkment. Feeling pig sick.
SupraAyf
I am travelling through Kuwait at the moment and I have already been temperature scanned twice to see if I have the flew. It seems that most people at the airport have the sniffles of some degree so I think I'll be joining you soon Michel. On a positive note but it's best to get it out of the way now as your body can then attempt to develop it's own tolerances while the bug remains in its mild form. kill1308
I had swine flu a few weeks back, didn't take anything for it other than lemsip and manuka honey, I didn't want to go near Tamiflu as I didn't like the idea of it. I felt nowhere near as bad as people I know who've had swine flu and taken tamiflu, but that could have been because each person copes with it differently I guess. In all honesty, I didn't feel that bad with it, a day of sickness, few days of the sh*ts and apart from that was like a bad cold.
Al Massey
You may not even have swine flu. They have stopped checking for it and are just issueing tamiflu to anyone who has flu like symptoms. And all tamiflu is designed to do is to help reduce the effects of the common flu
JamieP
I wonder about this tamiflu, ive got a private family doctor and they called me up asking me to go in for a consultation about swine flu, i thought for the nippers sake i will go, turns out she is to young to have the tamiflu, got charged £106 for the privlage and given a course of tamiflu incase i get it, nice money spinner for what you get free at the nhs. Flew out to Egypt a couple of months back and as soon as we got off the flight our temperature got checked before we was allowed to leave the airport. Flew back to the UK 10 days later and not one check at the airport! You gotta love Britain!
DODGYDODDS
Hope you get well soon mate, i had it, didnt take anything as tamiflu is known to be pretty dodgy, so i avoided it. funy how massive batches of tamiflu were due to be destroyed in a couple of months for being out of date, then suprise suprise, swine flu comes, tamiflu stocks increase hhhmmmmmmmm suspicious.
