Has the title says really , i'm after a reasonably cheap digital camera for hols , found the olympus x-42 12mp at a great price i think , compared to other 12mp cameras ! Looking thro the tech data tho, all the other cameras are sd/sdhc format ! whilst this camera is xd/microsd format ! Can anyone enlighten me on the diff. as i'm not the most tech. person coming to audio/digital/pc revolution etc.etc. Thanks Dyers

Lbm
Thanks for the reply, but i know it's a different memory card, will it av any implications on downloading to computer software etc, why the diff sd card ? wots the diff ! I believe you would just put the micro sd card into a bigger SD card Adapter and then that would go into your sd card reader via USB into pc. see link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Micro-SDHC-Card-Adapter/dp/B000WH6H1M/ref=pd_sim_ce_1 Check with your camera supplier first before you buy

Snooze
Yep - an adaptor like Lbm suggests will do the trick. One thing I would be aware of - the MicroSD cards (or xD if you really want - wouldn't advise it as it's looking like a defunct format) will be noticably more expensive than an SDHC equivalent - making the camera a little bit more expensive for comparison purposes.
