Lacoste82
Hey all, i have a question regarding the Hard edge plastic list that is mounted above the 2 doors, on the chassie. These are not mounted correctly on my supe, and im having real difficulty repositioning them! They are very hard to get demounted! The problem is that they do not follow the curv of the car, there is room between them and the car and i can see these metal fixings in between, 2 in each side! Im afraid that if i keep trying, i might bend them out of shape, all together! So what do i do? I have talked to local Toyota dealership, but they dont seem to have a clue how to get them of and put back on correctly! I really, really hope that one of u guys know how to get these of and on! Thx in advance, regards Mikkel
michael
There is supposed to be a gap to stop water dripping on you when you get in and out of the car but I don't recall seeing any fixings. Do you have any photos of the problem? I don't have a clue how to remove them but suspect it's another one of those bits where you just pull and hope for the best before it snaps. Hang fire though, someone with the necessary info will be along soon...
edge
I remember the fixings somewhat but they are a pig to get off and the glue is even harder. As said take a pic first as they may be fitted okay. If you want to move them slightly i suggest a hairdryer method or similar.
