ClaireRZ-S
Well the Supra is just costing too much to run and i don't want to sell so i'm going to buy a 1 litre polo . I've had 3 before so they don't bother me. I'm spending about 90 a week on petrol and its just costing too much to run . I'll have the supra for work during the week as i'm only a few mins away and some weekends. I normally drive to Cork the weekends which is a 5 and a half hr drive . Also the 1250 on tax a year is a killer Do a lot of you just use the Supras the weekends and have a daily run around??
Jamesy
i used to have a 306 XSi as my 2nd car when i had my old supra. it was great...still nippy and got it for about 300 notes!!
deathmonkey
I cycle! I'd love to use the Supra all the time, but work is only a few miles away so I might as well cycle. ... I used to have to drive 40 miles to work, imagine how much that was a week :\
SupraGirlie
I am lucky as I can walk to my work, so my Supra is only a weekend toy. When it's not in the garage that is

TTRickeh
I've got a 1.2L mk4 Ibiza, does the job, and I find it makes driving the Supra that little bit more enjoyable I managed to get 350 miles to a tank in it recently, not bad at all! martin1982
I used to have a 1.2 Nova as my daily driver. Loved it, nice little go cart to chuck around on the rat run to where I worked. Always found then when I was driving it i'd be thinking, can i fit through that gap? Sod it i'm gonna have a go, who cares if i go up the pavement lol
ClaireRZ-S
When i bought the Supra my ex lived where i was so i was like oh i wont be doing much driving, my boyfriend now lives in Cork . He does some driving to but you'd spend up to 130 quid a weekend with food etc when i drive and sometimes his drifting is on so i'd drive to watch that. Hmmm seems a lot of us have run arounds and don't do much in the supra
SupraGirlie
Always a bonus! OT: Just how many Supra's have you had?! I have had six, (see my garage) but only two were TT's, and I have only ever been working my way up to my dream GZ Aero anyway which I will stick with I hope I tried having a second car once, a Saxo VTS, but I never used it, and always opted to drive the Supra instead, so it was a massive waste of money lol. DSK
To be honest due to the extra costs in Ireland that you are facing, I'd only use the Supra as a weekend treat. However, here England, I bought the Supra with the intention of using it every other day, but as its quite special (IMO anyway) I refuse to just leave it parked up anywhere only to come back to find scratches, dent, finger prints etc. As a result I just use it for motorway journeys and aimlessly driving around just to give it a run I try to split the use of the Supra between my C70. As for a daily driver I have a BMW 328i which is OK, cheap enough to run and maintain and a doddle to park.
stevie_b
I'll have the supra for work during the week as i'm only a few mins away and some weekends. Lazy! Get on yer bike! I use my supra only occasionally now. The poor battery doesn't like that too much. I used to use it for my commute, but now I commute by train. Jamesy
2nd cars are also great for winter when its raining hard and ice/snow conditions when driving a supra (or any high power RWD) is a nightmare!!

Sounds good value for a VW, they usually command premium prices. Is it in good nick? Friend selling, or ebay/autotrader/etc? Pardon me for being nosy, but I like to know where people find decent second hand cars, for future reference.

Six! Just seen you're 23, and you've had 6! I'm 23, and I've had 1, I chose the right one to get though imo! Mind you, we both saw the light and own GZ Aerotops . ...and yeah, which should I drive today, VTS or the Supra.... hm.... toughie! I'd take one look at both and wouldn't care about the petrol. Supra wins hands down. Thinking about aerotops, I had mine off for the first time in ages yesterday, loved it!
