JamieP
Between me and my partner our building firm is very easy to run and we want to get into something else to run along side the building firm but not sure what yet. Looking for some ideas? what does your boss do and make a fortune at?

jacko
I thought the market was flooded with plumbers (no pun intended)
JamieP
I have a full time plumber already and running around sorting him out all the time is a pita, having 5 or 6 would just be a nightmare i think.

JamieP
probably. but if your a builder you can go "we also do plumbing..." "i know a good plumber if/when you need one..." etc I do that now, its all part of the building, no job to small and all that.
Guigsy
hum my dad had carpenters but no electricians or plumbers. hehe. How about building a gocart track. there was an ace one in rotherham. all you need is a big empty warehouse (plenty about now people are going bust) a crapload of tyres and some gocart. sorted

Charlotte
I have them aswell, my building firm is wrapped up. I think what you're trying to say is that your business firm doesn't need adding to it? I often wonder this but would rather be doing something I enjoy than something that I need to put loads of effort in to make a return. Guigsy
How about property redevelopment, prices have never been lower, do them up and wait for the prices to increase in the coming year (2010) Thats a good one. Gocarts sounds more fun tho I'd love to design a gocart track. Whack in a 2nd level into the warehouse for multi level fun I could make the best track ever. Let me know if you want to do that idea jp

TRACIE_LOU
Perhaps a background on what interests you would help... or is it simply a money maker regardless of if you enjoy it or not??....You say something to run alongside so does that mean you want to keep in the same lines as your building company? or something totally different?
