Headlight refurb:

10 mins in the oven at 90C and a couple of flathead screwdrivers allowed me to get the lights apart to do this. 5 mins at 90C when finished to heat the silicone to reseal them. Win!

Some Scratch-X later and the cover was in much better shape:

Well, it's rubbish weather just now so the car isn't clean for these pics, however I took some anyway as I've painted the wheels black and got my plate on.

Also, took a couple engine bay pics that aren't fisheye-tastic.

You'll see some cable ties on my rad hose there. It split as you may have guessed. Got some nice Samco superflex steel helix coolant pipe to replace it (and the other hose above it):

Need to get an upper rad hard pipe, intake hardpipe, paint the cam cover and then generally degrease and clean the bay.

Crankpully issue?

Hey dude.

Yeah, the crankshaft pulley (for the auxilliary belt (PAS, A/C, alternator etc.)) decided to come apart when I was driving along and go through the undertray and out the back!

After a wee read up on here it seems somewhat common given the car is getting older so it's nothing too tragic. Just wear and tear. 16 years of it being there afterall ya know! (Or, well, however old this particular engine is!)

That's all sorted now though. Just followed the sorta guidelines that were posted as to how to make a tool to be able to get it all done. As Kieran (Monsween) said:

That issue is all sorted, now for the heater matrix..............

;) - now for the heater matrix as that decided to pack in not too long ago! Had one arrive for £71 delivered just last week so going to fit it this coming week over a couple of nights. Will maybe try take pics as we go (it'll be myself and MarcAB10 having a bash at it) to make our own guide to help others!
