19" alloys and big red brembos :cool:had a drive it was nice but bit cramped for a saloon car. just want to know if it will fall apart :)

Erm, let me think??

It's an Alfa, so the answer is a resoundingly emphatic *YES* :)

There you go!!;)

Apparently build quality is much improved.

Ooh, maybe not then....:think::confused::shrug:

Yep I went for the car pictured as my new daily driver - the Ti variant in black which gives you all the nice toys, but mine has the contrasting natural leather interior.

Mine is a 2.4 JTDm 5-Cylinder diesel - 210bhp / 320lb/ft torque standard. Have got an Autodelta piggyback for it to fit, takes it to 250+bhp and around 390lb/ft torque.

So far so good, other than a dodgy noise at low revs / load when I first got it. Local dealer diagnosed it as power steering pipe not clipped into it's holder at the factory so had it back within a couple of hours.

Drives great, really petrol like in that I can rev it out (5k rpm lol) without major torque drop off and has real low end urge.

It's not a car you buy for fuel efficiency though, my long running average is 32mpg and my best on a cruise control 85mph long distance return journey is 38mpg. If I bore myself silly doing 60mph max on mways it returns 50+ mpg but I'd rather save the time / have fun in it! :D

It does however look the part and feels a special place to be. Stuff like sports electric seats which are heated, windows mobile built in for ipod control through the steering wheel, bluetooth to put your phone through the stereo etc. is all nice to have. The big Brembo brakes on it are great and I can really throw it down the backroads with it's pretty stiff stock setup (Ti spec) with handling that seems to impress anyone I take out in it.

Rear legroom is adequate but not bril - my 320 coupe (current model) had more rear legroom. Boot size is pretty decent. It's well screwed together and feels very solid, I read a bunch of reviews before going for it which said this and the Brera are streets ahead of the older generation stuff. Besides, it is under warranty for 3 years!!! :taped:

All round I'm enjoying ownership :)

That engine is pretty good, for a oil burner. I had the privilege of driving one to and from Birling's Gap near Eastbourne and it just ate those miles up.

Alfa Romeo are very good at stylish. The problem I found with the Cloverleaf GT I was driving was that the styling got in the way. The A pillar was massive, and very restrictive. It felt as though I was huddled up against it because of the amount of windscreen it consumed.

Still, I do have a soft spot for Alfas. I'd love a go in a petrol Brera S, one of the nicest looking smaller cars around IMO.
