AndrewOW
I'm moving house this weekend, and am taking my existing phone number with me. I called BT to transfer the number, and while I was on the phone I was asked if I'd be interested in their BT Vision package, which consists of high speed broadband, BT Vision HDTV (similar to SkyHD), installation and line rental (with free evening and weekend calls) for the bargain basement monthly cost of £48 (including 'Bronze' on demand tv, movies and music). Has anyone got this, and is it directly comparable to Sky+ HD, as it seems a bargain, but I'm sure there's a catch there somewhere? Thanks for listening. http://www.bt.com/vision
Multics
AFAIK it's freeview with a few tricks. I was interested a year ago but it was too expensive back then, it looks a bit better now with HD and lower prices. Back then the box alone was £99 plus subscription... AndrewOW
There's a one off cost of £45 for the HD box now, but as I cannot receive freeview in my part of Eastbourne yet, I was wondering if I'd actually have anything to watch!
JustGav
If you can't get freeview and you aren't overly bothered by getting sky, why not just get Freesat?
jamesmark
My dad and sister got BT Vision about 12 months ago. I can't remember exactly what went wrong but they had no end of trouble and eventually got it canceled. I know my sis got better reception with her £10 freeview box. Have you checked the requirements.... BT Phoneline Get a BT phone, broadband & TV package BT Total Broadband Get a BT broadband & TV package A TV and aerial Check your aerial? Freeview coverage Check if you can get Freeview If you can't get freeview it might not even be an option.
AndrewOW
If you can't get freeview and you aren't overly bothered by getting sky, why not just get Freesat? There's another one? I will probably just transfer my Sky package to the new place, but with line rental and broadband on top, it's looking quite expensive going with the former. Yes, I had asked that question already, and I think their TV on demand thingy is alright as long as the programme has already been broadcast isn't it? tomgeer
I have just been sucked into subscribing to this (bt vision) is it any good? It is only £15 for the box, a one off payment of 9.50ish for ESPN and then £4.60ish a month after that. The only reason I am having it is for ESPN and the premiership football and it's cheaper to have it through bt than sky which I will be keeping aswell. The box should arrive on the 15th December.
