Animal
Is there a microswitch on the sidestand? Sometimes they stick and some bikes won't let you start them if the stand is down. I once spent 30 minutes trying to bump start a bike one winter and it turned out the switch was frozen on.

tooquicktostop
maybe a daft question but has the tank gone onto reserve and you have the fuel switch on normal is there a kill switch on the handle bars, is it switched to run, I know these are daft but the amount of times I did this myself it is worth asking

Animal
Does it run pre-mix, or is there a seperate oil tank? Has he run it out of 2-stroke oil? It seems odd that there is no kill switch or reserve.

Guest bennyessex
Did it heat up before it cut out? Whats the milage? Sveral things to check as process of elimination. Check the plug for oil or moisture, check the filter for dirt etc. Check the fuel filter if there is one for blockage.
