RedM
It appears that not only is there a £6.99 remake of the original out now but there is a new five-part Tales of Monkey Island series out as well. Did anyone else play these back in the good ol' days?
TLicense
Absolutely awesome. I remember it being about 20 floppy discs for the old Amiga 1200. Brilliant story and humour though. I see you can also get it as an Iphone app as well now...
Axle
Yeh i remember having it on my Amiga. Was quality.

Had the 4th (i think it was the fourth, starts off on a ship and you need to fire the cannon) on my old PC for a while.
Animal
Cool. I liked Zak McCraken and the Alien Mindbenders too. I spent many an hour playing them and the old Sierra adventures like Space Quest, Kings Quest & Leisure Suit Larry on the ST.
Nick
Whooaaa, there's a flash back. Spent far too much time playing that and not nearly enough studying for my A-Level Physics exam.

Multics
Absolutely loved Monkey Island. First one on Amiga 500 (needed the 1MB Ram upgrade to play it) then Monkey Island 2 on my first PC (80286). I just bought Monkey Island Special Edition on the iPhone, £4.99 it's really well done
Jake
"The Secret Of Monkey Island" wasn't it? Guybrush Threepwood or something like that? Played it for a looongtime on my Amiga 500. Twas good at the time.

caseys
How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood? Bought the iPhone version, it's a good port. Heard the episode based stuff is coming out for the Wii / 360 first?

Mike
I found girls, alcohol and indie clubs during Amiga time so I don't recall this one I left gaming at the Spectrum and picked it up at PS1

add heywood
lol "How appropriate, you fight like a cow" Funny as I've just got the box set for all 4 games. Just completed the first one all from memory of when I was about 10 years old. Just starting on MI2 Lechuck's Revenge I remember back when I first had the games I couldn't play the third one because you needed a half decent graphics card. And I only had a poxy 386 to play it on lol.
andygood
Monkey Island was a classic : 'Re-elect Governor Marley. When there's only one candidate, there's only one choice...' Cool. I liked Zak McCraken and the Alien Mindbenders too. I spent many an hour playing them and the old Sierra adventures like Space Quest, Kings Quest & Leisure Suit Larry on the ST. Heheh, I've always remembered the start of Zak McKracken: 'Zak was in bed... Alone... Again...'

RedM
I'm glad I'm not the only fan of LucasArts adventures. Does anyone else fondly remember The Dig, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango or the Sam and Max games?
