No1 turbo not spinning to full speed

Ok this post might be a bit long but bear with me :)

Car is an Aristo 2JZ GTE powered, auto, non VVTI with cat back exhaust and ARC airbox.

The symptom is as the title, No1 turbo isnt reaching full speed. How do I know this? Well for 6 wonderful seconds the other day I experienced full 2JZ power and then it was gone as quickly as it arrived. Was pulling away from the lights when the car sort of jerked a bit then spun its wheels and away it went! And then jerked agan and was back to normal. The pitch of the turbo was definately higher than normal.

Everything is operating as it should, No2 turbo comes in about 4k, the plugs were a nice colour, getting 0.7bar boost at WOT both turbos online, no engine error codes from the ECU diagnistics, the only code is for an left rear wheel speed sensor (ABS/TRC). Goes really well, nice and crisp below about 2200-2500rpm, feels like its about to really fly then drops off a bit, is really flat until No2 turbo kicks in and then all seems well. Revs to 6k. The blue VSV on No1 turbo is FUBAR'd (resistance was 21k ohms)

What Ive done so far is swap that VSV with a known good one, replaced the spark plugs, all coils and leads are fine and well connected, TTC'd it, swapped the dump valve to eliminate a leaky one, checked all the pipework, swapped ECUs, resistance checked the rest of the VSVs and theyre all good, and now Im out of ideas.

Its only ever done the 'full power' thing once so I dont know if that itself is the anomoly or if its how it should go.... Might it be timing? Auto box?

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance, Craig

I'm kinda in the same boat mate, i have a few other symptoms though which are leading me to suspect VSV's.

I subscribed to your thread when you asked about it hoping to be pointed in the right direction lol.
