JamieP
Good paint protection, when you come to sell it simply pull the stickers off and it will look new once again.
marc_p
Cheaper than a spray job and maybe a better finish.
Kev.O
I wonder how the usual 'stone chips' effect the vinyl?

Lbm
I saw these kinds of things on Lambos & Fezzas at last years' Le Mans. Quite sensible actually.

ufop
I saw this being done to a old VW van on wheeler dealers I think on the discovery channel. Pretty impressive really they picked out a design which was a baby blue and water bubbles type of thing to give the van a surf/beach thing then printed it out on to a big plotter style printer. only lasted about 5mins this bit but was interesting watching them put it on. I think its a good way to advertise and such but I would worry about stone chips and things. annoying enough to have to have a chip touched up but with this surely you would have to have the whole panel recovered? which would cost hundreds at a time at least? Pig
I think its a great idea and would love to do this to mine.
Ewen
I've seen a high end Porsche close up and personal that had had the matt black treatment. Totally amazed I was too, absolutely blemish free and hard to tell it had been done. The car had been used on the track, and there were a few marks up front, a couple that looked as though they had gone through the vinyl. Couldn't talk to the owner, but I was impressed. Better than a car bra ? You decide. I'm wondering if the 'chrome banana' Merc that was posted on here recently had had this done.

More than likely, my mate does this for a living, probably be bringing him to Suprapod with me if anyone want's any quotes, and he can do a full body wrap on mine in ANY colour I want, and that includes flip paints/pearlescent paints/kandy paint's etc.
Al Massey
I have done this before with my mate, takes ages but you can get some really good effects. But be carefull if you ever want to take it off, some leave lots of residue and can be a pain to get rid of.

ivan
Who would want to make a matt black car shiny?
RiceRocket
Isn't there a transparent one Then this would be suitable for the likes of Supradibbs etc
marc_p
..and you cant polish it and make it shiny Yes you can;), it's much easier to keep clean than regular paintwork aswell.
